Ranetrace alternative for web analytics

Ranetrace and Quiet Metrics are not playing the same game, and that is the first thing to know before comparing anything.

Ranetrace is a monitoring suite: uptime, response time, errors, logs, certificates, domains, DNS, broken links, Lighthouse scores, status pages. Web analytics is one feature among a dozen. We only do web analytics.

Everything written here about Ranetrace comes from its own published pages, dated and linked at the bottom.

What Ranetrace does that we do not do at all

This is not a courtesy, it is the list of reasons to choose them:

We do none of that, not even close. If that is what you are looking for, the comparison stops here and the answer is Ranetrace.

Where we differ on analytics

Quiet Metrics Ranetrace
Product scope Web analytics only Monitoring, errors, logs, performance and analytics
Published measurement method Daily fingerprint destroyed every night, documented page by page "Privacy-first insights", method not detailed on the pages we read
Where data is hosted France, named processor Not stated on the pages we read
Server packages PHP, Laravel, Symfony PHP, Laravel 10, 11 and 12

The two middle rows need a clarification, because an absence is not an accusation. We read their home page and their pricing page on 23 August 2026; neither describes the measurement method nor the data location. That does not mean the information exists nowhere on their side: it means it was not there, and that if it matters for your case, you should ask them.

On our side it is published: our How we count page describes the whole mechanism, and our privacy policy names our single measurement processor.

When to choose Ranetrace

If you want one tool for five jobs. Watching uptime, receiving exceptions, reading logs and looking at your audience in one place has real value, and so does paying for one subscription.

If monitoring is your main need. Analytics is then a bonus, and ours would be one more tool to manage.

When to look at us

If analytics is the subject, not a side dish. A tool that does one thing takes it further: sources, channels, UTM, countries, devices, goals, shareable dashboards, a read API.

If an audit asks how you count and where the data is. We publish both answers, in full and in three languages.

Sources and verification date

We do not copy their prices here: they change, and a copied figure goes stale without warning. Their own page is authoritative, not our summary.
