Measuring audience,
without watching anyone.
Quiet Metrics measures a site's audience with no identifying or tracking cookie, with data hosted in France. It exists because answering a few simple questions (how many people, from where, on which pages) should require neither an analyst's tool nor a heavier page.
And because the PHP ecosystem deserves measurement that starts from its own code: a Composer SDK, Laravel and Symfony middlewares, a proxy on your own domain and a WordPress plugin, on request during the beta.
Four rules
the product does not work around.
Server-side first.
Three Composer packages, for PHP, Laravel and Symfony, send every page view from your application. The browser script remains for sites whose code you do not touch.
Nothing that identifies the visitor.
No identifying or tracking cookie, an IP address never stored, a pseudonymous fingerprint whose salt is destroyed every night.
A published method.
What is counted, what is not, and what measurement cannot see: the method is written down in full, not implied.
How we countLimits written in advance.
Every plan's quotas are published, and going over follows a known staircase: you are warned before anything changes.
