Already counting with Quiet Metrics

The problem

Your real traffic? You can't see it anymore.

Between refused consent, ad blockers and tools that became unreadable, classic web analytics is broken.

−30 to −60 %

The banner drives people away

Every consent banner degrades the experience, and every refusal is a visit your tool will never count.

−10 to −40 %

Ad blockers make you blind

Measurement scripts are blocked by default for a growing share of visitors. JavaScript tracking only sees part of reality.

GA4

Complex, and uncertain in Europe

An interface designed for experts, data sent outside Europe, and compliance that rests entirely on your shoulders.

Compliance, built in

Control your compliance. Clearly.

A modern product where compliance is built in, not an add-on. Hosting and support in France, DPA included, ready-to-paste legal notices: compliance is not a paid add-on, it is the product.

  • No identifying or tracking cookies set by Quiet Metrics
  • Consent depends on your purposes and configuration
  • DPA included, ready-to-use legal notices, automatic retention

Server-side tracking

PHP-native. Invisible to ad blockers.

Three Composer packages (plain PHP, Laravel, Symfony) and a single-file first-party proxy; a WordPress plugin is on the way. The hit is sent from your server: close to 100% of traffic measured, no JavaScript required.

  • 3 Composer packages (official WordPress plugin coming soon)
  • Single-file first-party proxy, deployed in 2 minutes
  • Ad-block-proof, no-JS approach: nothing to block in the browser

For agencies

One account. All your clients.

Track up to 30 client sites from a single dashboard. Give each client the link to their own dashboard, password-protected, and send automatic reports under your brand, not ours.

  • 1 account = N client sites, a single dashboard
  • One dashboard per client: revocable link, optional password
  • White-label reports, with your logo

Without tracking you

How we count without tracking you

Nothing that identifies the visitor is written on their device: no identifying cookie, no tracking cookie, no persistent fingerprinting. The script writes two things only, and neither tells one person from another: the exclusion marker, set by the person themselves to stop being counted, and a ten-minute continuity cookie that avoids counting one visit twice when the network changes along the way. The daily pseudonymous fingerprint, computed server-side, is enough to count without watching anyone over time: reliable, complete orders of magnitude, not individual surveillance.

The mechanism, plainly

  • Ephemeral pseudonymous fingerprint: the daily salt is destroyed every night
  • IP address never stored
  • No cross-referencing between sites, no cross-site tracking
  • Impossible to reconstruct an individual's journey from one day to the next

Documented compliance

  • Measurement data hosted in France, never transferred outside the EU
  • Purposes and configuration must be documented; consent when required
  • DPA included + compliance documentation
  • Automatic data retention, export and deletion on demand

If you exceed your quota: grace zone up to 120% of quota with nothing lost → alert emails at 80% then 100% → upgrade suggestion. Only as a very last resort, after two consecutive months above quota, an announced limit: hits received beyond it stop being analysed, but are still counted and shown. Beyond the Agency plan, write to us: we look at higher volumes case by case.

Frequently asked questions

Is measurement without tracking cookies always exempt from consent?

No. Quiet Metrics sets no identifying or tracking cookies and performs no cross-site tracking, but that alone does not guarantee an exemption. Only two things are written on the visitor's device, and neither identifies them. The exclusion marker “qm_ignore”, which they set themselves to stop being counted, holds no identifier and is never sent to us: it is a refusal, and a refusal calls for no consent. The visit continuity cookie “qm_visit”, lasting ten sliding minutes, avoids counting the same person twice when their network changes during a visit; it falls under audience measurement and is never set on someone who has opted out. UTM campaigns, conversions and custom events, on the other hand, may require consent depending on your purposes and configuration. You remain the controller; we provide the DPA and technical documentation needed for your assessment.

How do I migrate from Google Analytics?

Add the script (or the PHP SDK) alongside GA4: both coexist without conflict. Compare the numbers for a few weeks, then remove GA4. Remove your consent mechanism only after reviewing your other tools, purposes and selected configuration. A detailed migration guide is included, and your goals are recreated in a few clicks, by event name or by path.

Can I self-host?

No, and it's a deliberate choice. The service is hosted and maintained for you, in France: no VPS to manage, no updates, no on-call. On the other hand, the SDKs are open source, the first-party proxy runs on your server, and your data remains exportable at any time. If self-hosting is an absolute requirement, we are probably not the right tool.

How do the trial and billing work?

Discovery access lasts 14 days. When you choose a plan, Stripe stores your payment method but makes no charge for 14 days; you may cancel before the deadline. Billing is then monthly with no commitment or annual with −20%. Consumers see the VAT-inclusive total before confirmation.

Server tracking or script: which one should I choose?

The script (4 KB, no tracking cookies) installs with one tag and is enough for most sites. Server tracking (PHP SDK) sends the hit from your server: invisible to ad blockers, it measures close to 100% of traffic, business events included. Both can coexist: deduplication is automatic. An official WordPress plugin is on the way.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes, at any time: CSV export and read API, site deletion from the app, and full account erasure on request to Protected contact detail: enable JavaScript to reveal it. After a trial or subscription ends, data remains exportable for 30 days by default unless immediate deletion is requested. We never resell or cross-reference it.
